We will be focusing on two program series this fall in Girl Scouts in ACTION Protect the Planet & Change Makers!
Protect the Planet Your Girl Scout in ACTION will learn how they can make a difference in big & small ways through eco-friendly art projects, outdoor exploration, and engaging conversation about the impact we have on the planet. Hands-on activities will develop skills including critical thinking, responsibility, respect, and self-esteem! Finish out the series with a Take Action project to learn what it means to give back to the community.
Change Makers We will learn and talk about the issues that often divide us. Through team games, art projects, and other hands-on activities, Girl Scouts will be encouraged to get to know each other, talk about respect for their peers and self, and think critically about diversity in their community and beyond. This series will culminate in a Take Action project to learn what it means to give back to their community.
Included in this program are daily, hands-on Girl Scout curriculum, earned badges and/or fun patches, trained adult mentors.
Participants must attend Myers-Wilkins Elementary School and be a part of the Collaborative after school program to participate in Girl Scouts in ACTION.
