Be a part of Lakes and Pines’ democratic process! The Board of Directors invites you to attend the Annual Meeting, which will be held IN-PERSON this year, starting at 8:30am on Saturday, January 22nd at the Sartell Community Center. A luncheon and Recognition Celebration will take place after the formal business meeting.

Attend as a guest or as a delegate for your service unit. Council Updates

Target Circle

Girl Scouts Lakes and Pines is honored and excited to announce that we have been chosen to participate in a special charitable giving campaign, sponsored and funded by Target. And you have the chance to help direct a portion of Target’s donation to us!

Now through March 31, 2022, vote for us through the Target Circle program to help determine how Target’s donation will be divvied up. Find out more about Target Circle here: www.target.com/circle

We’re asking our supporters to help us make the most of this incredible opportunity. Every vote counts to help us receive a portion of the available Target funds as we continue our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Don’t forget, as you earn more votes, you can keep voting multiple times during the campaign! Thank you for your support, and we encourage you to share your support for us (and thanks to Target) on social media throughout the duration of the voting!

Programs & Events

Programs on the Go

Programs on the Go have been more popular than ever, and there’s still time to schedule one for your troop this year! Here a few tips from the program team to make scheduling a breeze:

Have the following prepared for when you’re ready to schedule:

What Program on the Go you want to schedule – View the virtual Program Guide here

  • 3 dates and times – at least a month in advance- that would work for your troop to allow for as much schedule flexibility as possible
  • The location of where you want to hold the program
  • The number of Girl Scouts that you anticipate attending

Once you have the above information decided upon, please contact your program specialist by emailing customercare@girlscoutslp.org.

Did you know that we offer virtual Program on the Go? Many of our programs can be delivered virtually to your troop! Ask your program specialist for more details.

Have extra Cookie Dough or Fall Bucks sitting around? Cookie Dough and Fall Bucks can be used to pay for up to half the cost of many of our Programs on the Go! Check your program guide for more details.

Camp & Outdoors

We are working on the 2022 Summer Camp Guide - watch for more details next month!

Product Program

Cookie Season is rapidly approaching.

Cookie Rallies!

Congratulations to the 6 Service Units – SU003, SU020, SU021, SU024, SU025, SU029 – who met their December Membership Goal and earned a free Cookie Rally! If you have not already scheduled your rally, please contact us at customercare@girlscoutslp.org to reserve a date.

Didn’t earn this recognition, there are still three fun ways to help girls build their entrepreneur skills:

Join us for a council-wide VIRTUAL Cookie Rally to learn about the 5 skills, hear about the new Adventurefuls™ cookie, and meet the 2022 cookie mascot! Virtual Rallies are being held online on January 11 from 6-8pm or January 20 from 5-7pm. Attendance to the event is free, but activity packets are available for purchase to be picked up at one of our offices or shipped to your door!

Request a Cookie Rally Program on the Go and have us bring the cookie rally to you! Girls will work on developing their people skills, goal setting, and become experts in the cookies they will be selling! Cost: $6/girl

To request a program on the go, email us at customercare@girlscoutslp.org.

Plan a rally at your next troop meeting. Use the Cookie Program meeting plans in the Volunteer Toolkit to help the girls learn more about goal setting, money management, and people skills.

New Leader Tips

World Thinking Day

Making the world a better place is Girl Scout Law, so it’s no surprise we have a holiday dedicated to doing just that. Each February 22, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides across 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day. It’s a day of international friendship and a time to stand up for causes that could improve the lives of girls around the globe. And while the holiday itself comes in February, the World Thinking Day Award can be earned at any time of year.

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), which you—as a Girl Scout—are part of, has celebrated World Thinking Day since 1926.

Observed by 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts worldwide, World Thinking Day has a different theme each year. In 2022, the theme is “Our World: Our Equal Future: The Environment and Gender Equality.” To earn your World Thinking Day Award, you’ll explore how girls and women are disproportionately affected by climate change and participate in the Girl Scout Tree Promise. Check out the activity guides below to get involved and learn about how you can make a difference in the world.
