Apply to Be a 2023 National Convention Delegate!
Every three years, Girl Scouts gather together at the
National Convention and National Council Session to reinvigorate our
Movement, celebrate our accomplishments and chart our future.
Girl Scouts Lakes and Pines is looking for girls, age 14 and
older, who want to be National Delegates at the Convention. Delegates
will be the Council’s representatives at the National Convention. They
will attend the business meetings, vote on proposals, bylaws and the
National Board of Directors. When they are not in meetings they will
be able to join the fun activities at the convention.

Council Updates
We are looking for help designing our 2022 Leader's Day Card!
Hey Girl Scouts, we need your help designing the next Leader's Day card to say "thank you" to all of our amazing volunteers!
Download the template HERE, and then bust out your
markers, crayons, colored pencils, or finger paints and send us your
art today! Submission deadline is March 1st.

Gold Award Journey Weekend
February 25th, 2022 -
February 27th, 2022
Get started on a Senior or Ambassador Journey and participate in the Gold Award Orientation - the first required step to earning Gold! We will explore GoGold, dissect the rubric for project approval, and build a supportive network for the ultimate Girl Scout achievement. Includes housing and meals. Cost is $45 (Girls can use up to $22.50 in Cookie Dough/Fall Bucks).
Daisy Journey in a Day
March 12th, 2022
Earn a journey in a day at Camp Sanderson! We'll work on all the elements of the 5 Flowers, 4 Stories, and 3 Cheers for Animals Journey for Daisies! Includes lunch, supplies, snack. Cost is $30 (Girls can use up to $15 in Cookie Dough/Fall Bucks).
Volunteer of Excellence Award
The Volunteer of Excellence is an award that recognizes a volunteer
who has contributed outstanding service in support of the council’s
mission delivery to girl and adult members.
Do you know someone who deserves this award?
All that is needed is one person to nominate them and another person
to endorse the nomination. So, team up with other members of your
Service Unit or council Member Support Specialists and let’s get them
rewarded for their time and hard work.

Girl Scout Cookie Program
Please send in your Girl Permission Forms!
Just a reminder to send in your Girl Permission Form before they get rolling with cookies. This year the form is ONLINE and can be accessed on our website. There is a place for the family to enter the Troop Leader Email. Entering the Troop Cookie Manager email is also fine. Once submitted, one copy of the form goes to the email in the Troop Leader Email field, another copy goes to the council. There is no need to forward the email form to the council. Please make sure you have received a copy of the form for EVERY girl selling cookies.

Fall Product Update:
Congratulations to Kayleah H. from Troop 3663 who earned one of our giant penguins!. Kayleah had an amazing Fall Product season, selling a total of 275 items, $2,164! Great Job Kayleah!

New Leader Tips of the Month
Girl Scouts’ birthday, March 12, commemorates the day in 1912 when
Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization's first 18
members in Savannah, Georgia.
- Girl Scout Week is celebrated each March, starting with Girl Scout Sunday and ending with Girl Scout Sabbath on a Saturday, and it always includes Girl Scouts’ birthday, March 12.
- Girl Scouts Celebrate Faith events give Girl Scouts an opportunity to be recognized at their places of worship during Girl Scout Week, share their legacy of service to others, and deepen their connection to their faith and Girl Scouting. Celebration days include Girl Scout Sunday, Girl Scout Jummah, and Girl Scout Sabbath/Shabbat.
