Help Start a New Troop
Adult members can earn a $50 Girl Scouts of MN and WI Lakes and Pines certificate* that recruits a non-member adult to start a new troop and help mentor them for their first 2 meetings. The new leader, once registered, has 2 months to get the troop going and have a non-member adult registered and backgrounded as the assistant leader. The new troop will be listed in the opportunity catalog and open to 12 girls. Once conditions are met, the new leader will receive a $25 Girl Scouts of MN and WI Lakes and Pines certificate*.
*Certificates expire 9/30/18 and can be used towards the council shop, council programs, council trips, or council camps (cannot be used for deposit). No cash value. Non-transferable. Entire amount must be used in one transaction. No cash back. Cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Thank you, volunteers!
Your hard work means the world to girls, parents, and our staff. Nothing we could offer is as touching as a smile or hug from a girl, but we hope you’ll find these recognition opportunities meaningful for you and your volunteer peers.
• Volunteers who are celebrating a landmark year of service with us are eligible for a complimentary year pin/numeral guard. How to request yours!
• Encourage your troop to make a submission to the Leader’s Day Card Contest and their artwork could be on the front of this year’s thank you card to all volunteers (and you could win flowers delivered to your office!)
• Help us say thank you to your peers with a Girl Scouts of the USA recognition. Learn how…

Day Camp 2018
Each year generous volunteers host day camp throughout our service area at parks, camps, or other locations in their home community. Day camp offers a welcoming, safe, and positive environment where girls gain confidence and build self-esteem while enjoying a fun-filled summer in the outdoors.
