For Girls - February

For Girls

Help us say thanks to volunteers

April 22 is Girl Scout Leader’s Day. Each year we send a card thanking volunteers for their service. The front of the card is designed by a Girl Scout – would you like to give it a try? Use our Leader’s Day Card Contest submission form to create a design. In addition to having the winning design on the front of the card, we’ll be drawing from all entries to deliver flowers to the volunteer at her office.

Deaf Awareness Activity Patch Program

Girl Scout Volunteer Marie Pank is a Minnesota Hands and Voices Northeast Regional Parent Guide. She recently developed a Deaf Awareness Activity Patch program to help raise awareness and understanding of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

If your Girl Scout or troop would like to learn more about earning this activity patch, see page 4 of the Minnesota Hands and Voices newsletter.

Shout out to Cookie Business Owners

We hope you’re having a blast with the 2018 Cookie Program. In addition to have fun (and learning) you’re also earning proceeds for your troop, recognitions/cookie dough for you, and supporting your council. WOW, right?

Troop Proceeds

In addition to the money you get for your troop, if the AVERAGE cookie sales for each girl is 250 packages (or more), every girl in your troop gets a FREE T-shirt and earns Adventure Points you can use to celebrate together later this spring or summer.

Plus, there’s these great things you’re earning for yourself – Recognitions and Cookie Dough Credits. This year’s recognitions lineup includes an American Girl Doll, Travel Hammock, and much more!

The cool thing about our recognitions program is that recognitions are “cumulative” … so you get something from every level you’ve achieved. For instance, if you sell 750 packages of cookies you can choose American Girl Doll, Starry Room Light, Hoodie, Beach Towel/Wet/Dry Bag, Ella the Elephant plush animal, Bandana, a silicone ring, and a patch! Plus, you’ll get $230 worth of cookie dough to use at camp, programs, or in our council shops.

Are you a Cookie Pro?

This cookie season, six girls nationwide (one per Girl Scout grade level) will be named GSUSA’s Top Cookie Pros and get the EPIC Chance to be featured on the Girl Scout Cookie Box! Apply today

If you have any questions, please let us know! We’re here to help!
